There is not a lot of shopping to do at this passage: there is only a tiny shop managed by a grumpy old lady that sells newspapers, chewing gum and Hallmark cards. But it is definitely a nice place to hang out if you like abandoned shopping malls and looking at artwork from local graffiti artists.
It is also a nice place to meet local youngster who use Passage 44 to engage in typical Belgian traditions like stick fighting and giving each other complicated handshakes. If you want to make a good first impression and come across like a cool dude, make sure to use some Brussels street slang like “Nique ta mère” and “Ta mère suce le penis d’animaux pour l’argent”.
